conclusion
It is important to know these steps when surviving
a new job. Even though there are many survival rules, these are just a few. If
you are new to a job and want to survive, you will have to put in the extra
work, but most of all, remember to never show up late on the first day because the
first impression means everything.

The
warm up (mnemonic device)
My friend John Parker use to play college basketball for
University of Maryland. When he comes back from summer break, we play one
on one basketball at the recreation center by my place. Because, I love to
play basketball he used to pick me up and we go work out together. He always
told me to warm up, but I never listened. I will usually just shoot around and
make layups, until he was finish doing his drills. I ask him why he thinks
stretching was a big deal. And he started explaining to me why. He told me
that in high school his freshman year, he injured himself because he didn't do
what he was doing like stretching and running. So when he went to the hospital
the doctor told him ways to prevent his injury. By stretching he could have
prevent it. So every time he goes to the gym he always remember to
stretch before doing anything else. So my mnemonic device is some days, Rondo
does serious drills. Meaning stretch, run, drills, shoot and dribble. I do this
before I play a basketball game so I can improve my skills and I can prevent injury.
Stretching in any sport is a vital aspect, that’s why
some days stands for stretching. If you have played any sports and have not
stretch you may pull a muscle or injure yourself while playing. Even the
greatest players stretch before games. I remember freshman year I was playing
for league. It was third quarter, and Trey have just stolen the ball, before
Trey could even finish at the rim he went down and was in so much pain. He had
just pulled a muscle in the middle of the game it was crazy how that happen
because he was the best player on the team. After the game our coaches had us
in one room, and told us the value of stretching, and what could have also
happen to trey. Even though my friend John from Maryland had told me this
before, I have never witness this before. Seeing how my own team mate have
fallen in a game I try to stretch every time before playing any sports.
Running is an essential part of basketball or any sports.
To remember this I tell myself which player have I watch the most and, I said
Rondo. Rajon Rondo is a point guard of the Celtic Boston and he is always on
the floor providing pass and creating steal so his team can win games. So when
I watch his highlight video or games he is mostly running throughout the game.
Every player must be in shape why playing basketball so there body can perform
at their maximum. A player with skills and no stamina is useless on the court
so he must train his body. Also when you are out of shape you might hurt
yourself trying, to do stuff that you are not use to. So after stretching I
usually jog around the court and finish with a sprint.
After stretching and running down the court I work on
drills. That where, does, come from? Doing drill are amazing because it helps
you prepare for real obstacle that are going to be occurring in games. It also sharpens
your skills. The more you play basketball the more you need to enhance your
skill because the competition will be even greater and you want to be ready. I
remember this kid in our gym he was short, but he had mad skills with the ball
because of his skill he was able to play with the older guys because he had
trained hard and develop his skill. Developing your skill is a great way to be
found by college coaches when playing in your high school team and also be
known in the court.
I and John do intense shooting drills. That where the
serious comes in. You need to make points in games to help make your team win,
so that why I practice my shooting. Shooting is another way to create points.
Kobe, Michael and Ray Allen practice shooting every day. They shoot about hundred
thousand shots a day. The most difficult shot to defend is the jump shot. It’s
when you have the ball in your hand and you release the ball at the top of your
jump. So I make sure I practice it every day I get on the court.
The last part of my warm up is called drills but it
really mean dribbling drills. Dribbling the basketball is the most important
part of playing the game. If you can’t dribble you will have a hard time
running plays and you will often get the ball taken away from you. These days’
coaches are looking for players that can handle the ball very well. I think
everybody should have this skill and also practice it every day so if feels
like second nature to you. My friend John plays point guard for Maryland and his
handles are crazy, it’s like his hand are glue to the ball. It is very
difficult to take the ball or for him to lose the ball in games, because he
practice it every day. He even dribble the ball to class sometimes. So
dribbling is a must for anybody who trying to play basketball and that is how I
end my warm up.
Even though you might not be a D1 player like John Parker
or a professional basketball player like Rajon Rondo, all player do the same routine
like stretching before games. My mnemonic device is an efficient ways for me
and anybody else to remember the steps before playing games. If you do this
drills consistently and stretch I am sure that your skills will improve, and
you will have less injure. So remember every time you get to the court some
days Rondo does serious drills.
